Sacramento Senior Portrait Photographer

Sacramento senior portrait photographer Doug Miranda Photography would love to get the chance to capture these once in a life time photos of your graduating high school or college senior. As a parent myself you end up capturing tons of photos of your kids when they’re young and you slowly take less pictures of them as they get older. For most reasons they're just sick of the camera by a certain age and we probably just straight embarrass the heck out of them out in public while taking their photos. This is once in a life time achievement and milestone in your daughter’s or son’s life that you’ll need photographs of to document the special occasion. These will be keepsake photos for you and them to look back on for the rest of your lives. As for the senior this photo session will be a huge reward for all the handwork you’ve put in for the last 13 years of school. This photo session is one of those important high school graduating customs that need to be done, so you can let all your family and friends know about your huge academic accomplishment.

I’m sure as a parent you have some friends with nice cameras that can maybe take these photos for you. I’m also certain that some of your high school senior’s friends have a camera and have taken photo classes as an elective. So does this make any of those blooming photographers are right for this special moment in your child's life? I would have to say no they are not the right person for this job. Friends and family do not mix when it comes to business and important life moments like this. You’ll want these pictures professionally captured so that you’ll have many amazing photographs to pick from. If you’re high school senior has comes this far you might as will treat them with a high school senior portrait session.

Here are my top five reasons you need a profession senior portrait photo session.

  1. My number one reason is your graduating high school senior needs to be reward for all the hard work they’ve done for all those years of schooling. This is one of those rewards that you can give them that will need up becoming a family heirloom for them and you as a parent. This only happens once in a life time so you really need to capture it professionally.
  2. Piggybacking from that last part of number one is you’re preserving memories that will last a lifetime and more. These pictures are documenting one of the most important moments of you’re high school or college seniors life. When you’re old and look back at accomplishments or milestones in your life graduating high school and college is one of them for sure. So you might as well preserve this accomplishment with photos and will be lasting memories for you and your family to enjoy.
  3. The easy reason and most typical one is you’re a high school senior and you’re going to need a professional photo or photos of yourself for your yearbook and announcement of graduation.
  4. You’re sick of looking at boring studio portraits of past seniors in your yearbook and really want one that will stand out from the crowd of basic photos. When you end up hiring a photographer that doesn’t come to your school to take photographs you end up with fun and exciting pictures. Let’s face it studio photos aren't that fun. They can be, but they really don’t show off the real you. When you’re able to go outside you can pick out locations and outfits that represent you. In turn you’ll end up with senior portraits that you'll love and love to send out to family and friends.
  5. The last reason for a senior portrait session is that you’re mom and dad having been waiting a really long time for this special moment in your life to happen and they want the best looking photos possible of you to remember this time in your life. Most parents like to brag about their kids and this is one way they can with physical proof. It also documents and shows how you looked at this stage of your life.

Guys are often overlooked and need professional senior portraits too. You see tons of photos out there on the web and social media of girls, but very few of the guys. Don't feel shy that you have to have these photos taken of you if you're guy. This is a very special achievement in your life and you need it documented just like the girls. Your parents and relatives are still wanting to see these special pictures of you as you before you embark on your college career.

Senior portraits aren’t just for high school grads. Lots of college students now have graduation photos taken too. They almost seem more popular than high school senior portraits now days. In the greater Sacramento area lots of Sac State grads and UC Davis grads have their portraits taken throughout the year with the spring time being the most popular to have these photos taken. The reason why spring is so popular for graduation photos is the weather is perfect. The surrounding area is full of blooming flowers and the biggest reason is that graduation ceremonies are just around the corner. This means that you’re going to need those pictures taken of you in your cap and gown so you can send off those graduation announcements to family and friends letting them know your big accomplishment. Graduating from college is a big deal and you should reward yourself with some beautiful portraits taken of you before heading out into the real world. Plus you can have some great headshots taken of you at the same time to put on your LinkedIn page since you’ll most likely be looking for a new job.
